Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in government or public policy.
- A deep understanding of the state and local regulatory process.
- Past success in bringing large capex projects to fruition.
- Experience in working with local permitting and regulatory agencies.
- Proven track record in supporting communities through corporate engagement.
- Skilled advocate with a keen ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Support permitting, regulatory, and compliance requirements for Netflix projects, including land use, environmental permitting, transportation permitting, and state and local tax issues.
- Drive positive community engagement around Netflix projects by building local alliances with key stakeholders, including elected officials, community groups, non-profits, chambers of commerce, and other business groups.
- Bring value to our local communities through targeted sponsorships and employee participation.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with state and local officials, including participating in local legislative hearings and local stakeholder meetings.
- Help guide Netflix’s local workforce training initiatives towards building a pipeline of skilled workers in key markets.
- Leverage data to create local economic and community impact assessments and drive local stakeholder support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or within studios, technology companies, regulatory or governmental agencies, or industry associations is helpful but not necessary.
