Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in career services, talent acquisition, higher education administration, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives or managing complex operations
- Familiarity with career management platforms (e.g., 12twenty, Handshake) and data systems
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the university’s recruiting operations strategy aligned to institutional career success goals.
- Partner with senior leaders across career services, colleges, and advancement to create a cohesive employer engagement operating model.
- Support, refine, and own a governance model for campus-wide recruiting operations and recruiting policies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of UT Austin’s employer-facing recruiting platform (12twenty@UT), including job boards, career fairs, interview schedules, and employer accounts.
- Develop and evolve shared service models and standard operating procedures for job moderation, posting vetting, and event approvals.
- Establish tools and templates that drive consistency in recruiting practices across colleges.
- Lead transitions to new processes and ensure adoption and ongoing support.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with college career centers, business development teams, and faculty partners.
- Host recurring university-wide recruiting forums and serve as a convener of key stakeholders.
- Provide operational support to cross-campus recruiting efforts and help colleges tailor solutions based on their specific needs.
- Manage recruiting space (e.g., Career Success interview suite) and ensure a high-quality experience for visiting employers.
- Define service standards and expectations for employer experience at UT Austin.
- Collaborate on communication strategies and recruitment campaigns to support employer engagement across disciplines.
- Analyze employer behavior, satisfaction, and hiring data to drive improvements.
- Track and report on recruiting activity and its contribution to student outcomes and employer engagement.
- Partner with legal and compliance to ensure UT recruiting policies align with regulations (e.g., SB17, Title IX, labor laws).
- Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing recruiting operations team.
- Foster a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support the professional development of team members and maintain compliance with institutional policies and national standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Higher Education, Business, Public Policy, or related field
- Experience in a large, decentralized academic environment
- Knowledge of employer engagement best practices and national recruiting standards
- Experience leading change management or governance efforts in complex organizations
