Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in a life-science environment, ideally in diagnostics, genomics, product development, or similar background, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, engineering, business, or related field.
  • People management experience including team development and performance management.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Smartsheet knowledge and experience is ideal.
  • Strong technical background in product development, diagnostics, technology, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects in a regulated environment.
  • Flexibility to manage any given changes within projects and the broader portfolio with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortability in presenting to all levels, including the executive team, of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation for research and development, infrastructure, and other prioritized corporate-level initiatives.
  • Lead project teams across multiple sites, driving effective stakeholder communication and collaboration to achieve project goals while working closely with Core Team Leads and stakeholders to drive projects to success.
  • Monitor and maintain project progress according to key metrics including budget, schedule, resource allocations, issues, risks, and scope changes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure clear communication of program status to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify individual project resource requirements and portfolio resource capacity needed by working with functional leads to identify and assign individual project responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of project management framework (PDP and LCM) and tools.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the project management team and broader organization.
  • Partner with PMO, business, and executive leadership to define and prioritize the product portfolio roadmap.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with regulatory pathways for LDTs and diagnostics (e.g., CLIA, FDA, IVDR) preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
