Director – People Communications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field
8+ years of experience in People communications or a related role
Experience in a corporate or large organizational setting
Excellent influencing skills and comfortable working with senior leadership
Comfortable working in fast-paced, corporate environment
Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia tools
Strong leadership and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience with internal communication tools and platforms
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Experience working with outside agency and vendors

Develop and implement comprehensive People communication strategies that fit within a broader internal communications strategy
Collaborate and write for senior People leadership to ensure alignment of communication efforts with organizational and functional objectives
Keen editorial and storytelling skills to bring people and organizational stories to life
Oversee the creation and distribution of internal communications, including organizational and leadership announcements, programmatic and project-based communications and ad hoc assignments as needed
Contribute content to internal communication channels
Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture
Provide guidance and support to People teams on communication best practices
Use metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, channels and outcomes to influence and improve outcomes
Ensure consistency and clarity in all People-related communications
Lead and mentor the People communications team
