Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Photography, multimedia or other relevant communications field with three years of related experience
- Ability to take photos, edit, and transmit in a timely manner and based on specific requirements
- Experience with Apple/Mac computers
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Lightroom), Photo Mechanic, and off camera lighting
Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Photography department, including but not limited to facility, budget, equipment, travel, and other administrative responsibilities
- Manages a staff of full-time photography coordinators (2), paid student photographers (9), and volunteer student photo interns (8)
- Manage all areas of photography/primary shooter for a sport as assigned
- Manages the LSU Athletics photo archive and content distribution system for student-athletes and staff
- Manages and identifies revenue generation opportunities for the photography unit and manages the online photo store
- Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion in course work in the field of photography, journalism, digital media, mass communication or a related field is preferred
- Experience with professional or collegiate sports teams is preferred
