Requirements
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- 10-12 years of experience in an Ethics & Compliance, Employee Relations and/or Employment Law role
- Proficient in eDiscovery tools such as Nuix
- Proficient with database and case management systems (example: NAVEX) and tools
Responsibilities
- Lead investigations of highly sensitive matters of alleged misconduct, both financial and People-related
- Assume responsibility for all phases of the investigation life cycle, including intake, background research, witness/subject interviews, writing summary report, presentation of findings to stakeholders for resolution of substantiated matters, and debrief meetings with leadership
- Present Speak up campaigns and provide guidance to employees and management regarding the application of the Code of Business Conduct and other related company policies
- Clearly document all reported cases and efficiently manage their case queue on the Business Conduct Office case management system
- Support in trend analysis, track and report case metrics, compare to industry benchmarks, and summarize results for internal reporting purposes
- Lead the annual review/refresh of Visa’s Code of Business Conduct and support updates of other BCO managed policies, procedures and handbooks
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Preferred qualifications – J.D, CFE, Employment Law experience
- Experience conducting internal investigations including intake, investigation, resolution and summary reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivery of concise executive level updates to Legal and key stakeholders
- Excellent data analytic skills
- Proactive, highly responsive, sensitive to highly confidentiality concerns, ability to empathize while maintaining professional objectivity, adapt to cultural differences of employees in complex global environment, collaborative in close team environment, diplomatic, and flexible in adapting to occasional changes in case priorities
- Experience drafting, updating and implementing compliance-related policies
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment while also collaborating frequently with BCO team members and others in Legal/Compliance/People Team
- Facilitate development and analysis of case-related metrics and statistics to identify issue or regional trends and remediation
