Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on program development and underwriting strategy
- Proven success designing or managing insurance programs for third-party distribution (e.g., affinity groups, associations, embedded insurance, captives, MGAs)
- In-depth knowledge of Property and Casualty or specialty insurance lines, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and product development skills, with a passion for innovation in insurance products and delivery
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Self-directed and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of tailored insurance programs for third-party clients across various industries.
- Proactively research and evaluate emerging market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving risk landscapes to identify new coverage opportunities and ensure offerings remain competitive and compliant.
- Partner with business development, sales, and client services teams to understand client needs and deliver high-quality, customized insurance program solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and MGAs to support the negotiation of terms, build program capacity, and explore new distribution opportunities.
- Oversee the administration and lifecycle management of insurance programs, including launch planning, ongoing performance analysis, and iterative improvements.
- Ensure programs are built and operated in accordance with all relevant insurance regulations and licensing requirements in applicable jurisdictions.
- Monitor program metrics, client satisfaction, loss ratios, and overall performance to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIP, CAIB, CRM or other industry designations or post-secondary education preferred
