Requirements
- Minimum eight years related work experience
- Five years of Behavioral Science experience preferred
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field
- Graduate degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Manages the teams that consult with business stakeholders to identify business objectives and determine research methods to answer business questions. Sets the strategy and oversees research for complex projects with ambiguous objectives to meet business needs.
- Leads and develops the analysis and research of customer behaviors through multi-dimensional analysis of geographies, customer and product types, traffic sources, and channels. Drives and consults with the business on research and develops strategies to bring value to Vanguard’s business, technology, and processes.
- Directs the execution of large-scale analytics projects. Designs and delivers the statistical analysis of structured research based on social science theory and human decision-making principles. Develops and maintains research approach and manages project timelines, scope, and deliverables. Provides coaching to behavioral science specialists.
- Oversees a team in conducting primary and secondary research, using qualitative and quantitative methods, to explore the behaviors and motivations of clients and apply behavioral science principles to business initiatives. Connects overarching departmental goals to requests and translates requirements into an analytic approach.
- Analyzes and interprets research results for statistical significance and forms recommendations for product and/or program changes to influence client behavior and outcomes.
- Leads cross-channel initiatives, and turns customer feedback and behavior into actionable insights. Prepares and delivers insight presentations and action recommendations. Communicates complex analytical findings and implications to business partners to drive change.
- Drives the team’s engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Manages budget, develops staffing plans, and forecasts capacity and hiring needs. Provides recommendations on budget spend.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
