Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent / MBA a plus
  • 10 + years related work experience in Inventory Control, Logistics, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of management experience
  • Experience with Compliance policies and SOX controls, working with internal and external auditors
  • Experience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems
  • Experience and skills in influencing, leading and directing team members in multiple functional areas
  • Proven relational and relationship management skills
  • Proven people leadership skills, especially coaching and communication skills and a proven track record in talent planning and development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive inventory management strategy for Global Warehousing / FG Logistics
  • Manage forecasting and demand-planning processes using historical usage data
  • Implement cycle-count protocols to maintain >=95% inventory accuracy
  • Oversee returns and end-of-life disposals
  • Ensure adherence to FDA, Joint Commission, and other regulations
  • Partner with QA for audits and corrective actions
  • Prepare and manage the annual inventory budget
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and examine total cost of ownership
  • Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging inventory technologies
  • Partners with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory practices
  • Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory control efficiencies and adherence to compliance policies
  • Manages the inventory control team to develop and implement inventory tools and systems for tracking testing, auditing, and reporting
  • Ensures compliance to all regulatory rules and guidelines and industry best practices
  • Develops and mentors inventory control team through training and development opportunities and performance management processes
  • Manages digital transformation efforts within inventory control by implementing data-driven tools
  • Partner with IT and Digital Transformation teams to integrate inventory data into enterprise-level dashboards for executive visibility
  • Drive adoption of mobile inventory management solutions and real-time reporting tools across global sites
  • Drive disposition on E&O and collaborating with finance on best in class processes for raw materials, WIP, FGI and returns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with upgrading ERP (SAP S/4HANA) and WMS processes are a plus
  • Knowledge of Warehousing / Distribution Operations and processes
  • Experience implementing Global Inventory Control Processes and Strategies
  • Proven knowledge of identifying and implementing Key Performance indicators
  • Warehouse / distribution Process Improvement knowledge
  • Budget Experience / Tracking Actuals to Budget
  • Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Relational skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Travel up to 35%
