Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced enterprise software environment
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring diverse teams that include data engineers, data analysts and product managers
- A strong understanding of financial principles, reporting, and planning
- Proven experience leading data functions in at least two of the following areas: finance, go-to-market (GTM), and enterprise analytics
- Hands-on experience with modern data stacks (e.g., GCP)
- Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- A strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and ETL processes
- The ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical requirements and actionable insights
- The ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with senior finance leaders to understand their strategic priorities and translate them into a clear roadmap for the Finance Analytics team
- Build and manage a world-class team comprising data engineers, product managers, and a new team of finance analysts
- Act as a hands-on leader, providing guidance and mentorship to your team on everything from data architecture and engineering to data modeling and analysis
- Own the end-to-end process for finance reporting, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and timeliness
- Champion the integration of AI and machine learning into all aspects of our data ecosystem, from data engineering and data quality to advanced analytics and data science
Preferred Qualifications
- Some background in data science with prior experience in application of ML modeling methods for finance use cases (ex: ML based revenue forecasting)
- Prior experience working in companies undergoing a transition from a contract-based to a subscription-based pricing model
