Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in graphic, conceptual, and production design, including direct experience managing video, motion graphics, and front-end website design.
- 3+ years in a leadership role within a creative team or agency environment.
- Strong understanding of accessibility principles in design (e.g., WCAG guidelines, typography legibility, alt text use).
- Expertise with industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and familiarity with front-end design considerations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to design excellence across platforms.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating creative concepts clearly to stakeholders and executives.
- Curious, collaborative, and receptive to feedback, fostering continuous learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of three designers, including a Lead Designer focused on video, motion graphics, and front-end website design.
- Oversee high-concept and high-volume design work, including campaigns, customer stories, annual reports, videos, website designs, and social assets.
- Serve as a quality control checkpoint, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and excellence.
- Translate strategic ideas into actionable design concepts during internal sprints and collaborative sessions.
- Own and evolve Bonterra’s brand design system, including visual identity, logo architecture, and website design guidelines.
- Ensure all deliverables meet accessibility standards (e.g., color contrast, readability, hierarchy) and support inclusive experiences.
- Manage external design vendor relationships and maintain quality standards for outsourced work.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, product, and leadership to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Participate in and lead internal design sprints to foster innovation and creativity.
- Streamline and optimize creative workflows on project management platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for technology, software, or SaaS brands preferred.
