Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (science or business preferred) or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered.
- MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales and training, with a minimum of 5 years in a training or sales leadership role.
- Requires prior pharmaceutical sales experience, pharmaceutical/biotech sales management experience, plus vendor and contract management.
- Strong project management skills and detail orientation with proven track record of execution and results.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, fosters a collaborative environment, negotiates and influences in a matrix environment, exercises tact and diplomacy in stressful situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple departments as required to meet learning and development goals.
- Experience in effectively utilizing technology to engage audiences.
- Ability to complete verbal and written evaluations of others.
- Organization, initiative, and self-motivation.
- Project and vendor management experience.
- Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to comply with strict policy, work in a highly regulated environment, and maintain confidential information and data.
- Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
- Proficient at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members and stakeholders.
- Effectively aligns resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with commercial leaders at every level to understand business goals and strategies, and identify opportunities for learning and development programs or support.
- Evaluate training programs, curriculum, tools, platforms, and corresponding training materials for multiple layers of management, to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies.
- Champion development, delivery, and management of learning journeys across multiple roles/levels.
- Proactively conduct ongoing feedback discussions with leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the relevancy of all learning and development program content.
- Collaborates and communicates closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., HR).
- Manage the identification and selection of vendors, as well as subsequent relationships and projects related to learning and development programs.
- Attend appropriate training classes to maintain an advanced level of knowledge.
- Forecast future needs, manage the budget, and achieve financial targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in launching a product (Sales, Managed Markets, and/or Sales Training) is desirable.
- A focus on neuroscience is preferred.
