Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical), including 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the life sciences industry.
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a high-performing business development team, including performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development.
  • Designing and executing a strategic sales program to drive organizational growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Building and maintaining senior-level client relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Overseeing the development and execution of Customer Account Plans to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Participating in proposal preparation and defense meetings to support business acquisition efforts.
  • Representing the sales team in senior leadership meetings, providing updates on key business activities.
  • Ensuring sales team members are trained and equipped to meet performance objectives.

  • Strong understanding of drug development, commercialization, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
