Requirements
- Law degree (JD) from an accredited law school and membership with a state bar in good standing
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant legal experience advising on complex legal and regulatory transactions and compliance issues
- Experience evaluating cross-border transactional structuring and requirements for a legal presence and operations in non-U.S. jurisdictions
- Experience identifying risks associated with international transactions and legal establishment matters, including familiarity with non-U.S. corporate governance operational requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance related to a portfolio of countries in which Raytheon operates and/or sells and serve as the primary legal advisor for Raytheon’s business related to those countries, including in support of offset agreements, joint ventures, teaming arrangements, supply chain agreements, party and transactional due diligence, and corporate governance related to activities in assigned portfolio of countries.
- Provide sound legal guidance to Raytheon’s Global Industrialization team working on global contracts, offset and localization efforts, proposals, agreements, negotiations, project development, and project execution in support of Raytheon Company’s long term global strategy
- Serve, as needed, as a board member for or officer of Raytheon’s international entities, including providing legal support, assisting in development of the short- and long-term strategic business planning, reviewing and advising on capture strategies for various pursuits, analyzing and revising proposals, and creating solutions for the resolution of complex business operational matters
- Act as a senior leader within the Raytheon International Legal team with responsibilities which include development and maintenance of processes and procedures utilized by LCC and other functions; identifying and responding to changes in regulations/ legislation; creation and delivery of knowledge development content; stakeholder management of identified functional leadership and development of junior members of wider team
- Support process development and improvement projects, and will select, engage, and manage outside counselors and other third-party advisors around the globe as required within company-established budgets
- Travel domestically, and internationally as needed, up to 25% of the time
