Requirements
- BS or MS required
- 10+ years of industry experience in architecting mainframe systems and applications
- AWS and/or Azure certification a plus
- Demonstrable ability understanding mainframe applications including CICS batch and online, DB2, VSAM
- Demonstrable ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions
- Working knowledge in all aspects of technical architecture (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization)
- Authoritative understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices
- Strong presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills for working with less-technical business partners as well as technologists in IT leadership and implementation teams
Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with business leadership and engineering partners to evolve SPS mainframe capabilities
- Understand the mainframe MIPs/CPU usage and business capabilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy end to end technology solutions
- Champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the stack
- Contribute to the product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals
- Provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across team initiatives
- Collaborate with peer architects to refactor business processes and improve customer experience
