Requirements
- Master’s degree in education of deaf or related field with concentration in Early Childhood and/or Special Education
- Knowledge of Educational Principles and techniques relating to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Knowledge of curriculum and intervention services
- Knowledge of principles of effective school management
- Ability to provide leadership in early development programs
- Ability to collaborate on an ongoing basis
- Ability to provide direct supervision
Responsibilities
- Oversee OSD programs and staff serving deaf and hard of hearing children statewide from birth to age 5
- Supervise OSD regional school in Chickasha (birth to 5 programs and pre-kindergarten)
- Manage statewide parent advisory services, deaf mentoring, and family engagement activities/events
- Provide consultation services to programs and schools including IFSPs and LIEPs
- Focus on statewide early intervention efforts in collaboration with families and LEAs
