Requirements
- Strong knowledge of sports, culture & news, including current athletes, events, and storylines.
- Expertise in video editing in Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, as well as advanced abilities in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong storytelling skills, creativity and a passion for pitching and executing story ideas from ideation to publication.
- Influential in understanding the ever-changing YouTube landscape and other emerging platforms.
- Excellent headline writing skills; an understanding of optimal tactics for social distribution.
- Expertise in Search Engine Optimization methods and data analytics.
- Must possess demonstrated communication and organization skills, and ability to react quickly and positively under a wide variety of situations.
- Familiarity with ESPN programming and platforms.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage one’s own projects, as well as those of others on the team.
Responsibilities
- Write titles and descriptions of videos, design thumbnail images, and add other elements in the publishing process, in order to maximize effectiveness of content on YouTube.
- Understand YouTube Analytics and ability to communicate that information inside and outside the YouTube group.
- Ability to communicate and work with Talent.
- Create graphics (static and motion) that stand out in a social/digital environment.
- Research, write and disseminate ideas for future content elements on ESPN platforms.
- Provide timely, accurate and complete delivery of multimedia elements, and publish to various platforms.
- Manage direct reports who will be producing and editing for ESPN’s YouTube ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years in multimedia content production or related experience.
- Experience working with a variety of digital content management systems.
- Strong presentation skills.
