Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years on-set experience as a Digital Tech or Photographer’s Assistant, preferably in fashion or commercial photography

Responsibilities

  • Act as a second eye for the photographer to ensure sharp focus, accurate exposure, color consistency, and quality control of all images.
  • Perform regular digital tech duties needed for photography and video shoots.
  • Set up and manage Capture One sessions, including color calibration, ICC profiles, ISO and format settings, tethering, and live monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot camera, lighting, and software issues on set (Canon, Profoto, Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One).
  • Log and process images, manage metadata, and ensure efficient asset delivery to post-production.
  • Troubleshoot photography system for Creative Drive and client needs prior to IT team.
  • Collaborate closely with photographers, stylists, producers, and EQ/Digital teams for daily planning and execution.
  • Track line list changes and maintain accurate records in proprietary software.
  • Support overall studio maintenance, including lighting setup, equipment upkeep, sweep painting, and workspace cleanliness.
  • Style or shoot pinup/tabletop imagery as needed, with an eye for brand guidelines and creative direction.
  • Manage file naming conventions, metadata tagging, and consistent delivery pipelines.
  • Liaise between on-set teams and post-production for image edits, retouches, and missing asset identification.
  • Ensure all images meet technical standards before handoff.
  • Support on-set exceptions and urgent client needs in real-time.
  • Strong focus on data input.
  • Will require a solid understanding of the various photography scripts such as import and delivery of images.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Film, or related creative field, preferred
  • Advanced skills in Capture One Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Canon/Profoto equipment
  • Strong knowledge of studio lighting techniques and photographic composition
  • Well-versed in Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and digital asset management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organized, and able to prioritize under pressure
  • Familiarity with proprietary production systems and photography scripts
  • Hands-on experience in both still and video production workflows
  • Proactive team player with a ‘no task too small’ mindset
  • Strong sense of studio etiquette and a passion for visual storytelling
