Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of consumer-facing writing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
  • Digital first approach with experience producing ecommerce content for web, print and marketing channels in a B2C/DTC space.
  • Knowledge of the buyer journey from awareness to advocacy and solid understanding of marketing content needed at each stage that will engage both prospects and owners.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with the desire to work collaboratively.
  • A demonstrated track record of accomplishment in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ownership mentality and proven ability to meet deadlines, work collaboratively with others, and manage projects independently.
  • Portfolio of writing samples.

Responsibilities

  • Write conversational, conversion-oriented copy for the consumer shopping journey that keeps with the tone of each brand. This includes landing pages, category pages, blogs, product descriptions, emails, promotional offers, etc.
  • Collaborate with the brand, marketing and creative teams to develop content that aligns with monthly marketing calendar initiatives, including product launches, promotions and website optimizations.
  • Develop and manage the monthly thought leadership calendar in collaboration with the brand and SEO teams. This includes identifying content and SEO gaps, researching topics, writing monthly articles, and evaluating content performance against KPIs.
  • Work with the Manager of Digital Content, SEO and digital experience teams to create copy that supports content strategies, drives traffic, conversions, revenue and user engagement.
  • Partner with the ecommerce team to optimize product content, including PDP descriptions and bullet points for owned and ecommerce sites.
  • Work with the digital experience team to support new content needs for the websites and optimize existing content to improve search discoverability.
  • Drive conversions by creating content that highlights products and is backed by data-driven decisions, UX best practices and SEO strategies.
  • Work with digital, social, paid media and email teams to optimize distribution strategies to effectively maximize audience reach.
