Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 (8 years preferred) of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Experience managing and scaling containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • US citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain TS clearance or higher

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support automated builds, testing, and deployments
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Implement robust security practices for deployment pipelines, infrastructure, and application configurations
  • Manage version control workflows and integrations using Bitbucket
  • Automate workflows and tasks using Jira Automation and good DevOps practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain system availability and reliability through proactive monitoring and incident response
  • Stay updated on emerging tools, trends, and practices in DevOps and cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar
  • Knowledge of database administration and optimization
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and best practices
