Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in developer relations, software engineering, or a related technical role, with hands-on experience building or supporting developer tools, APIs, or platforms. Ideally in a startup or tech platform environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from hobbyist developers to enterprise CTOs.
  • Proven experience growing and engaging technical communities, with a knack for building trust and excitement among developers.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and understanding their needs in adopting developer tools.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where you’ll take ownership and wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a public-facing champion of our platform, representing Vapi at various developer platform, events, social channels to inspire developers and enterprises to build with our tools.
  • Grow and nurture our developer community by engaging with users through forums, social media (e.g., Twitter/X, Discord), and other channels, while gathering feedback to inform product development.
  • Develop high-quality technical content, including tutorials, blog posts, sample code, documentation, and video demos, independently and with top influencers/YouTube creators to help developers onboard and succeed with our platform.
  • Partner with customers and developers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and showcase how our platform solves real-world challenges in building voice agents.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to relay community insights, advocate for developer needs, and ensure our platform evolves to meet user expectations.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure community engagement, platform adoption, and developer satisfaction, iterating strategies accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with voice agent technologies, AI/ML, or scalable platform products.
