Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working on hardware
- 2 or more years of experience in desktop support
- Relevant software certifications
- Experience with Windows and Linux OS
- Experienced administering JIRA or similar ticket system
- Experience with Jamf Pro, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and AV systems
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members
- Ability to interface well with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organization
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience and ability to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, deadline driven environment
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuity of the computer system for all system users
- Research software products and applicability to organizational environment
- Install and update selected software and hardware products
- Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
- Be ‘on-call’ for all periods as assigned by manager
- Provide technical assistance and advice to users both onsite and remote whenever needed
- Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities
- Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize MIS resources
- Assist with facility and desktop setup onsite in the Tampa office
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with IT operational standards
- Facilities coordination involving light physical labor (setup, stacking, relocating equipment, supplies, A/V equipment, etc.)
