Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on hardware
  • 2 or more years of experience in desktop support
  • Relevant software certifications
  • Experience with Windows and Linux OS
  • Experienced administering JIRA or similar ticket system
  • Experience with Jamf Pro, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and AV systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members
  • Ability to interface well with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organization
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience and ability to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, deadline driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuity of the computer system for all system users
  • Research software products and applicability to organizational environment
  • Install and update selected software and hardware products
  • Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
  • Be ‘on-call’ for all periods as assigned by manager
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to users both onsite and remote whenever needed
  • Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities
  • Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize MIS resources
  • Assist with facility and desktop setup onsite in the Tampa office
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with IT operational standards
  • Facilities coordination involving light physical labor (setup, stacking, relocating equipment, supplies, A/V equipment, etc.)
