Requirements
- Associate degree or 2-3 years of office administration experience
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential matters appropriately
Responsibilities
- Maintain course schedules in Coursedog and AIM, assign offices, and manage department space and key assignments
- Support faculty and staff hiring, coordinate candidate interviews, manage rank & status materials, and handle faculty ballots
- Maintain faculty portfolios, organize stewardship interviews, and manage faculty communications and surveys
- Oversee office operations, supervise student secretaries, manage purchases, update the website, and handle department records and facilities
- Support learning management systems, supervise student workers, manage add codes and grade changes, and maintain learning outcomes
- Administer the Major Field Test and handle textbook and challenge exam processes
- Coordinate adjunct hiring, communication, and evening/independent study courses
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of office administration experience
- Knowledge of BYU systems (e.g., Coursedog, AIM, and Workday—preferred)
- Experience with academic software (e.g. LaTeX) (preferred)
