Requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate required.
- Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act.
- X-Ray, infection control required
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
- Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health unit.
- Sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments supplies.
- Proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
