Requirements
- Typically 5+ years with bachelor’s or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Responsibilities
- Determines material needs and availability of stock.
- Works closely with operations, purchasing, engineering, and quality departments to achieve production goals.
- Insures that the required parts and materials are available to meet both customer and inventory needs.
- Rearranges schedules to meet changing requirements such as customer orders, manpower, or material shortages and plant load.
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- May be required to maintain certification in a quality management method, e.g., Lean, Six Sigma.
- Position may require the ability to travel.
