Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong expertise in implementing and managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of database security best practices, including encryption and auditing.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
- Project management skills and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and switch to higher priority tasks when required.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our SQL Server database infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups and database mirroring.
- Perform routine database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database design, queries, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
- Establish and enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data.
- Lead database-related projects, including version upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior DBAs and team members.
- Stay up to date with the latest SQL Server developments and best practices.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Financial Industry is highly desired.
- Microsoft SQL Server certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.
- Experience with IDERA software is a plus.
