Requirements
- Master’s degree in data science, computer science or a related STEM field, or foreign equivalent
- Six months of experience or internship (pre or post-graduation) in data analysis, data science, statistical modeling, or a related analytical field using object-oriented (OOP) programming languages such as Python and C++ and query languages such as SQL.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Snowflake (e.g., SnowPark ML), SQL, Python (including libraries such as Pandas and Numpy) and Palantir Foundry to assess, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights.
- Build, train, and evaluate machine learning (ML) models and/or statistical algorithms using Python (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Pytorch) or other appropriate tools (e.g., MLflow) to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments using our Azure and Palantir Foundry-based DS platform.
- Act as an internal technical consultant to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions for projects spanning our analytics and ML initiatives (e.g., in Commercial).
- Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through data visualizations and presentations.
- Design and analyze A/B tests or other experiment frameworks to assess the impact of Commercial business strategies.
- Iterate on models and algorithms for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure reproducibility and collaboration across teams.
- Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.
