Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, finance or related business field or equivalent relevant experience
- Two years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or insurance analytics
- Knowledge of metadata management concepts and processes
- Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Works with data owners and data stewards to identify, define, and document metadata attributes for critical data elements
- Captures data transformation requirements, quality rules, and source system details for entry into a metadata repository
- Designs and implements data quality issue reporting, triage, and resolution workflows
- Ensures the timely and effective communication of issues to data stewards, aids in root-cause analysis, and implements process improvements to solve problems
- Collaborates with Information Technology teams to capture the technical metadata and establish data lineage
- Develops and maintains artifacts and reports that support the visualization of data flows within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Business Glossary solutions preferred
- Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred
- Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks and operating models preferred
- SQL extraction skills preferred
- Knowledge of database and data modeling concepts preferred
