Requirements
- Proven ability to facilitate Agile delivery as a Scrum Master
- Working knowledge of programming frameworks for structured data e.g. Python, R, SQL
- Working knowledge of structured data / data platforms such as: ETL, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Data Lakes, BI, Analytics
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 strongly preferred)
- Enrollment in a Bachelor/Master’s degree program at the time of the internship (certificate programs are not eligible)
- Availability to start on the designated start date in May
- Availability to work for a minimum of 10 out of the 11 weeks of the defined internship period which runs from May-August
Responsibilities
- Independently lead and work on Data Engineering projects (~60%)
- Collaborate with functional and technical SMEs to create / extend ETL, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse solutions
- Assist in the configuration and setup of emerging data technologies such as Databricks, Dremio, and DataEDO
- Enable the delivery and optimization of Enterprise Data with segment IT & business groups
- Recommend and support the introduction of new or improved technical and business practices
- Perform analytical, and programming tasks as assigned
- Improve Data Engineering Service Quality through process improvements (~40%)
- Provide Scrum Master activities for operation and scaling of Agile processes for Delivery & Operations
- Construct and implement key metrics / dashboard for agile delivery (Sprint, Epic, Roadmap performance)
- Derive insights from metrics to inform future improvements to the team’s Agile processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Classroom or project experience as a Scrum Master for a digital team
- Classroom or project experience in data platforms, modeling and/or big data analytics
