Data Engineer II

Ability to communicate clearly to various levels within the organization.
General knowledge and understanding of the financial services and/or information technology industries is required.
Possesses intermediate knowledge in the fields of data science, database design, data analytics and/or business information systems.
Advanced-level familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel).
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
Resiliency and ability to work in a highly time-sensitive environment.
Adaptability and comfort with periodic change.
Ability to work independently to gather information.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology, data, business information systems, analytics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in SQL database design, SSIS, SSRS is required.

Research, Develop and Implement Methods for data extraction, integration, and transformation to inform business decisions, realize cost savings, reduce risk, and generate operational efficiencies.
Support Delivery of Business Intelligence to the company via report design and development and the implementation BI systems.
Collaborate with peers, management and/or internal business unit representatives as appropriate to design, develop, and implement data-oriented business solutions.
Design, build, and oversee maintenance of data systems.
Document key data processes, data flow diagrams, and maintain code repository.
Provide mentorship and support to the Data Engineer I role, act as a peer-resource to share knowledge and cross train.
Improve data reliability and quality.
Apply continuous learning to gain knowledge of best practices, current and emerging development trends and techniques to application development.

1-3 years of experience with Python and GitHub (or equivalent) is preferred.
1-3 years of experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred.
