Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly to various levels within the organization.
- General knowledge and understanding of the financial services and/or information technology industries is required.
- Possesses intermediate knowledge in the fields of data science, database design, data analytics and/or business information systems.
- Advanced-level familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel).
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
- Resiliency and ability to work in a highly time-sensitive environment.
- Adaptability and comfort with periodic change.
- Ability to work independently to gather information.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology, data, business information systems, analytics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in SQL database design, SSIS, SSRS is required.
Responsibilities
- Research, Develop and Implement Methods for data extraction, integration, and transformation to inform business decisions, realize cost savings, reduce risk, and generate operational efficiencies.
- Support Delivery of Business Intelligence to the company via report design and development and the implementation BI systems.
- Collaborate with peers, management and/or internal business unit representatives as appropriate to design, develop, and implement data-oriented business solutions.
- Design, build, and oversee maintenance of data systems.
- Document key data processes, data flow diagrams, and maintain code repository.
- Provide mentorship and support to the Data Engineer I role, act as a peer-resource to share knowledge and cross train.
- Improve data reliability and quality.
- Apply continuous learning to gain knowledge of best practices, current and emerging development trends and techniques to application development.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience with Python and GitHub (or equivalent) is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred.
