Requirements
- Strong computer programming skill is essential, preferably with experience in MATLAB, Python and PL/SQL.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with data product development and analytics platforms (APIs, dashboards, subscription models, etc.).
- Hands-on experience working with data engineers, analysts, and technology teams to build data-driven solutions.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product development frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and present findings effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and opportunities for new data products.
- Work closely with internal teams across investment servicing, investment management, markets, Alpha, and alternatives to understand business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Develop product requirements, user stories, and specifications for new data products.
- Manage working groups of data engineers and technology teams to design, prototype, and build data products and analytics tools.
- Build and improve robust automated processes in integrating and managing market and vendor data, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Manage the testing and validation of data products, working with users to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
- Implement research data products, such as investor behavior and risk indicators, in partnership with the Global Markets Research team.
- Maintain documentation of product features, data models, and user guidelines.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer adoption, retention, feature utilization, and revenue growth to refine product offerings.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies related to data commercialization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative research, product development, data analytics, or investment-related roles. Experience working with large financial market data, including public and private market datasets.
