Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management utilizing tools like SQL Server, Oracle, Databricks and Snowflake.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures that effectively leverage cloud-based data storage and processing platforms.
- Develop data models, including logical and physical design, to ensure data governance and data quality standards are met and upheld.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implements changes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability of data systems and processes.
- Design data architectures for data engineers and data scientists to assist them in building and optimizing our data assets to be innovative industry leaders.
- Design and develop medallion data architecture leveraging technology like Databricks and Snowflake.
- Design, build and maintain semantic data layers for ingest by BI applications.
- Develop best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
- Create and document data architecture development standard.
- Incorporate new and existing subject areas into an enterprise model.
- Provide direction for data verification and testing methods.
- Review data loaded into the data warehouse and data lake for accuracy.
- Lead and coordinate the work of other less experienced decision support team members.
- Work with data engineers and data scientists to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Conduct research into new technologies and determine viability for adoption.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
- Explore diverse perspectives and consistently behave sensitively toward differences in cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating. Work effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or work styles.
- Continually sustain the Inclusive Leadership Competencies (ILC) through the Explorer level on an annual basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting and working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including conveying technical messages to non-technical stakeholders and team members.
