Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
Responsibilities
- Initiate and lead projects to protect Google Search users from abuse, inappropriate content and fraud through investigation, prevention, and removal of quality issues.
- Troubleshoot issues and product vulnerabilities to implement large-scale quality improvements.
- Analyze and identify new abuse trends and develop insights and recommendations to enable effective and systematic solutions.
- Conduct complex and actionable data analyses as well as identify new signals to improve search quality.
- Drive the utilization of these new signals to completion.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Product, Policy, Legal, Engineering teams and other teams within Trust and Safety to execute solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD.
- Experience analyzing large data sets using up-to-date tools (e.g. SQL, MapReduce, Hadoop).
- Experience leading cross-functional projects across organizational boundaries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.
- Strong mentorship and leadership skills, with ability to work independently, complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner, and navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
