Cybersecurity Data Analyst

Requirements

• 10+ Years of relevant experience (bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)
• 5+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), KQL, and data modeling techniques
• Experience integrating Power BI with data sources such as SQL databases, APIs, and cloud services
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes and tools (e.g., Tenable)
• Ability to visualize complex data and present actionable insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to obtain DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+ within 60 days of hire
• Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards to track vulnerability metrics and trends
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT, and government teams to gather requirements and ensure accurate data representation
• Integrate data from various sources, including vulnerability scanners, asset management tools, and CMDB systems
• Create dynamic visualizations to support real-time monitoring of security vulnerabilities
• Define KPIs and metrics to track vulnerability lifecycle, remediation progress, and risk exposure
• Conduct data cleansing, transformation, and modeling to ensure accuracy and relevance
• Implement row-level security and other data governance practices within Power BI
• Provide documentation and user training on dashboard features and functionality
• Continuously improve dashboard performance and user experience
• Stay updated with Power BI best practices and cybersecurity trends
