Cyber Instructor/Training Specialist

Requirements

• Bachelor’s with 4 or more years related experience or 8 years of Cyber Security experience in lieu of degree requirements
• Experience in cybersecurity roles and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
• Knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
• Proven track record in designing and delivering technical training programs
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Current certifications and ability to teach (2 of the listed): Security+, Cloud+, AWS, Azure
• Classroom Instructor experience in 2 of the above
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and online training sessions, ensuring participants effectively learn and can apply cybersecurity concepts
• Design exercises, scenarios, and modules that align with organizational training goals and cybersecurity best practices
• Assess and improve the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics
• Identify and assess the learning needs of participants to tailor training content to meet those needs
• Develop and conduct interactive training exercises and scenario-based learning experiences
• Create development plans and remediation resources to support learner progress and proficiency
• Evaluate training outcomes and recommend improvements based on AARs
• Provide delivery of instruction through both field and classroom training/operation
• When required, work shall be done at night and in inclement weather
• When applicable, coordinate classroom set-up to support each individual class
• Provide modernization instruction on the operations and maintenance of supported systems, standard and non-standard systems and equipment
• Serve as primary instructors, assistant instructors, and/or demonstrators
• Coordinate with Government customers to prepare and instruct Cyber courseware for current and future networks
• Create customized training plans based on current system sand mission-specific requirements
• Participate in formal training and self-instruction / use on complimentary systems and protocols to increase the breadth of systems competency for training and fielding requirements
• Continue education through self-study and other methods to maintain instructor certification status, as applicable
• Attend instructor qualification training or other specialized training conducted at various CONUS or OCONUS locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Other relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Project+, CCSK and similar are encouraged
