Requirements
- MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field, and 7+ years of significant industry experience delivering products using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning technologies.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team responsible for shipping and maintaining user-facing ML features.
- Deep knowledge in theory and practice of computer vision, machine learning and deep learning techniques.
- Experience in designing and building end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment and scaling in production.
- Hands-on experience developing & supervising codebases in Python or other high-level languages.
- Experience leading and effectively executing on highly cross functional, strategic technical projects.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentorship and project management skills.
- Highly technical and detail oriented. Willing to take ownership of features and drive solutions.

Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of world-class ML practitioners to deliver powerful application features using state-of-the-art ML technologies in the area of Computer Vision.
- Provide technical and career mentorship to the team, setting them up for success.
- Define goals for the team, set expectations and shape roadmaps.
- Work closely with partner teams like Quality Assurance and Design to effectively drive execution of projects.
- Formulate concrete requirements from vague feature definitions, drive consensus and scope the required effort for planning.
- Drive key architectural decisions, working backwards from a deep understanding of product needs.
- Build relationships with partner teams across Apple to explore collaboration opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field.
- Familiarity with modern camera ISP and digital image processing algorithms and models.
- Experience optimizing models and algorithms that run efficiently on resource constrained platforms.
- Knowledge and keen interest in learning the art and science of photography.
