Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Customer Success, Solutions Architect, Professional Services) with cloud-native platforms or SaaS solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, security, and application delivery.
- Hands-on experience with distributed architectures, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift), service mesh, and modern API technologies.
- Demonstrated success guiding enterprise customers through digital transformation, cloud migration, and DevSecOps adoption.
- Familiarity with technologies such as API gateways, web application firewalls (WAF), bot protection, DDoS mitigation, and zero-trust security.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, scripting languages, or automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Python, Ansible).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive and technical stakeholders alike.
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities, with a bias for action and outcome-driven thinking.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical champion and strategic advisor for customers leveraging F5’s Distributed Cloud Services (e.g., security, application networking, edge computing, multi-cloud networking).
- Lead solution architecture design aligned to business and technical goals—especially across hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
- Enable customers to adopt zero-trust architectures, secure API gateways, and integrate F5 security and networking into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor customer health metrics and proactively address technical blockers that hinder adoption and success.
- Deliver onboarding sessions, technical deep-dives, and ongoing architectural guidance to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing platform optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Support, and Engineering to be the voice of the customer and influence the product roadmap.
- Develop reusable reference architectures, technical enablement content, and operational runbooks to reduce time-to-value.
- Lead workshops and innovation sessions to explore new use cases, especially those related to cloud-native security, SASE, Kubernetes ingress/egress, service mesh, and global app delivery.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into business value narratives and outcomes.
- Provide post-incident reviews, performance insights, and technical optimization strategies.
- Recommend additional F5 Distributed Cloud features and services to expand customer value and maturity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in technical roles involving enterprise infrastructure, security, or cloud services.
- 5+ years in customer-facing architecture or success roles.
- Certifications in public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, or cloud security are a plus.
