Requirements
- Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid (CPR, BLS) – American Heart Association
- Radiography Certification (ARRT) – American Registry Of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Radiology Technician (ARRT) – Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board Of Examiners (LSRTBE)
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge in use of all CT/X-ray and peripheral equipment and performance of all CT/X-ray protocols and procedures
- Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing high quality scans
- Demonstrates a satisfactory working knowledge of PACS
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards
- Administers sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies and procedures
- Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition
- Maintains quality control checks in accordance with policy requirements
- Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations
- Demonstrates safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department and hospital protocols
