Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate
  • SGMF – CVENI-Certified Venipuncture
  • 8 years recent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated specialized expertise in diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Proficient in performing CT examinations with an in-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Broad knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
  • Work autonomously, as well as be part of the team
  • Identify and analyze data to solve problems that arise with little or no precedent
  • Analyze workflow/processes and propose improvements or solutions that improve the efficiency of the team
  • Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
  • Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and organizes day to day computed tomography (CT) operations
  • Expertly performs routine and specialized radiology procedures of high complexity to produce quality images
  • Implements and updates policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen radiation protection/safety measures
  • Ensures the timely delivery of accurate imaging services and oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of all radiological equipment
  • Serves as the liaison between Diagnostic Imaging and staff, physicians, patients, family and other hospital staff
  • Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
