Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate
- SGMF – CVENI-Certified Venipuncture
- 8 years recent relevant experience
- Demonstrated specialized expertise in diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Proficient in performing CT examinations with an in-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Time management and organizational skills
- Broad knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
- Work autonomously, as well as be part of the team
- Identify and analyze data to solve problems that arise with little or no precedent
- Analyze workflow/processes and propose improvements or solutions that improve the efficiency of the team
- Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and organizes day to day computed tomography (CT) operations
- Expertly performs routine and specialized radiology procedures of high complexity to produce quality images
- Implements and updates policies, procedures and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen radiation protection/safety measures
- Ensures the timely delivery of accurate imaging services and oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of all radiological equipment
- Serves as the liaison between Diagnostic Imaging and staff, physicians, patients, family and other hospital staff
- Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
