Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
- Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Responsibilities
- Produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for diagnosis
- Accurately interpret scanning instructions
- Administer contrast materials
- Prepare and operate the equipment
- Position the patient to capture appropriate images
- Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review to determine correct room set-up
- Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam
- Maintain all aspects of the CT area including technical and clerical components
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
