CT Technologist – Every Weekend Night Shift – Imaging

Requirements

• High school or GED
• Graduate of a two-year AMA / JCERT Accredited School of Radiography
• ARRT registered (RT)
• State of Maryland Medical Radiation Technologist Licensure
• Venous Access Competency
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to handle a multi task environment and work independently
• PC skills such as Windows NT

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department
• Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures
• Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast
• Identifies contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT Advanced Certification Exam in CT preferred
• One year CT experience preferred
