Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Basic Life Support certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- High School Diploma
- Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program
- At least one year of work experience as a Certified Surgical Tech
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
- Perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care
- Function autonomously as a member of the operating room team
- Utilize higher level critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Assist providers and nurses with vaginal deliveries, supply restocking, instrument flow, front desk customer service and engagement
