Responsibilities
- Performs a thorough and complete preanesthetic assessment according to standard operating procedure.
- Provides anesthesia care which is appropriate to the patient diagnosis, age and physician orders, following the CRNA Scope of Practice.
- Obtains informed consent for the planned anesthetic intervention from the patient or legal guardian and documents this on the patient record.
- Provides education regarding anesthesia care and evaluates the patient’s response.
- Formulates, implements and adjusts the anesthesia plan of care to adapt to the patient’s response to the anesthetic, initiating corrective actions as required.
- Completes all documentation according to standard operating procedure.
- Identifies high risk situations and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
- Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year Related Experience
