Requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles, practices and terminology within the fields of marketing, advertising, graphic design and public relations.
  • Proficiency in design software programs including Adobe Photoshop, with a working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs.
  • Proficiency in manipulating and enhancing images using Photoshop with an eye for and understanding of how to choose proper fonts, imagery and colors to create compelling and engaging content.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and details simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to think ‘outside the box’ and come up with creative ideas to set INTRUST Bank Arena apart from other venues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with promoters, account reps, local media, employees and the general public.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
  • Organized with strong time-management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate high energy level with a positive attitude, motivation and a strong work ethic.
  • Operate Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other related office programs.
  • Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by programming including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to respond in a timely fashion during normal business hours, after hours and on weekends.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Kansas.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated event marketing plans for ticketed events, tenant teams and ASM Global Special Events including advertising, promotion, grassroots and public relations.
  • Maximize ticket sales for all events using all assets available. Must have excellent communication with marketing, box office and booking staff.
  • Execute graphic design and creative projects for various marketing channels, such as websites, email campaigns, print collateral and advertisements in Photoshop in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Responsible for localizing all event specific graphics from show provided advertising materials.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Food & Beverage, Sales and Events, to assist with marketing or graphic design needs such as the creation of collateral and signage. Ensure consistency and brand adherence across all marketing creative elements.
  • Manage all digital venue advertising, manipulating artwork in Photoshop when necessary. Ensure that all assets are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Manage and negotiate media buys, trade schedules and promotions on behalf of the show promoters.
  • Manage multiple advertising budgets and prepare show settlement information for event advertising.
  • Oversee the Venue’s website, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Be the liaison and lead for the Marketing Department for ASM Global Corporate initiatives, regional marketing calls, specialty calls and other items.
  • Create partnerships and nurture relationships with third party partners in the market.
  • Research and follow current music marketing trends, venue marketing efforts and implement best practices in the day-to-day activation.
  • Be one of the Department’s main contacts with arena tenants to coordinate all venue marketing support.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise interns within the Marketing Department to assist in the development and implementation of all marketing aspects for events.
  • Support the coordination and development of efforts to enhance Backstage and Fan Experience at INTRUST Bank Arena events.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Position requires the ability to work at all ASM Global venues in Wichita and Andover.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing/advertising and graphic design, live entertainment marketing preferred.
