Requirements

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. This may include some various evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Previous finance or accounting experience
  • Computer literacy and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel, Microsoft Office products and working knowledge of Sun, sales force Opera, BirchStreet Systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Finance, purchasing or receiving.
  • An Accounting or Hospitality Management Degree qualification is preferred.
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive set analyses for catering and F&B outlets, including pricing analyses and hypothesize suggestions on future pricing / menu
  • Discover maximizing revenue strategies using Avero Software
  • Track and report any findings from the Avero Loss Prevention System
  • Finding food cost efficiencies through food waste system
  • Attend beverage and food cost meeting to create reductions
  • Weekly/ Monthly F&B score card, Avero reporting and other financial reports
  • Menu Engineering per outlet with culinary support with suggestions including addition of Menu psychology
  • Menu Recipe implementation and management in Birchstreet
  • Complete monthly food and beverage Profit and Loss worksheets by department
  • Attend and participate in required meetings
  • Run upsell reports and server selling reports
  • Constantly monitor all food and beverage and inventory controls to ensure compliance with Four Season Hotels Ltd. policies and procedures
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Food & Beverage Director, Executive Chef and Director of Purchasing and make them aware of any potential problems or opportunities to improve the controls in their areas as they relate to food and beverage
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts for F&B and retail outlets and analyze variances for accuracy
  • Attend Food & Beverage Meeting to review prior month’s Food & Beverage report to highlight actions needed, and focus Food & Beverage management on appropriate opportunities
  • Expansion centered around finance responsibilities as time permits.
  • Any other F&B reporting as needed from Director of F&B, Director of Finance and Director of Catering
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Purchasing.
