Requirements
- Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
- An associate degree in any field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Review accident reports and determine whether they are reportable or not
- Review and respond to mail and requests for information
- Draft letters in response to written or phone inquiries
- Process accident related insurance verification, denials and fatal crash reports
- Prepare and process hearing requests and decisions
- Participate in special projects related to crash reporting
- Assist with on-the-job training of other unit personnel
- Assist customers by phone
- Participate as a member of a team in an office environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
- Experience in performing a variety of clerical functions with high attention to detail while balancing phone calls
- Experience in applying specific, well-defined rules, regulations, policies and procedures to work performed
- Proven excellent customer service and time management skills
