Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and accounting work experience is required.
- 3-5 years Accounting Required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and supervise staff.
- Develop goals and conduct performance appraisals.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations within Premium Accounting section to include monthly reconciliations for various billing general ledger (GL) accounts.
- Research system related issues that are initiated by various employees.
- Supervise and direct responses to members’ complaint issues in a timely manner.
- Reinforce accuracy in billing-related communications provided to members through daily supervision, training and establishing internal procedures.
- Manage efforts to streamline department workflow processing, increase productivity and provide efficiency and accuracy gains.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming billing adjustments for insurance policyholders.
- Analyze and interpret complex operating systems and make recommendations on proposed solutions. Problem resolution by prioritizing and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory Preferred.
