Requirements
- Bachelors and 4-5 years or Masters and 3+ years experience in M&A gained in Corporate Development, Private Equity or Investment Banking. Prior experience with consumer internet/marketplace sector is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
- Experience handling projects across teams and third-party advisors (including investment banks, law firms, accounting firms, and other consultants)
- Rigorous quantitative skills including experience with modeling, analysis, and valuation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal qualities including a positive attitude; desire to learn new things; judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of mergers and acquisitions processes, including sourcing, qualification, financial modeling, due diligence, investment recommendation presentations, deal negotiations and closing & integration activities
- Build detailed, bottom-up financial models and valuation analysis for potential transactions
- Develop a deep understanding of materials provided during due diligence processes
- Interface with a large, cross-functional deal team within realtor.com to ensure seamless deal execution
- Create in-depth investment memorandums to present to executive leaders and the Board of Directors
- Monitor industry activities and perform industry research of the real estate technology market, including the landscape of real estate technology vendors, startups and venture investors
- Engage with internal business leaders to evaluate and develop theses and lists of potential targets
- Support strategic analysis by performing ad-hoc analyses, including new business development proposals, and evaluation of buy/build/partner opportunities
- Work with product teams to evaluate and implement strategic partnerships
