Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Member of an appropriate state bar and/or ability maintain in-house licensure status in the work location
- Real Estate experience at a law firm, U.S. Government agency and/or in-house legal department
- Ability to analyze complex legal concepts and communicate effectively internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Counseling on real estate matters associated with leases, real property acquisitions and dispositions
- Coordinating with various legal specialists inside the company to support other matters (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, environmental, tax) impacting the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting real estate matters and/or complex commercial transactions globally
- Expertise drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases and a wide range of other real estate activities including easements, access agreements, and restrictive covenants.
- Experience supporting economic development opportunities (e.g., tax and other credits) and property tax appeals for the company.
- Strong business acumen and ability to lead and/or contribute to a collaborative team environment
