- 3+ years of experience
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- Effective communicator (written and verbal communication)

Responsibilities
- Facilitate the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of Blackstone Inc.
- Prepare the consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Equity Rollforward, Cash Flows) as well as required footnote disclosures for Blackstone’s earnings releases and 10-Q/10-K filed with the SEC
- Facilitate the day-to-day and month-end accounting processes for the Firm’s Holdings entities (approximately 35-40 entities in total)
- Record and/or review journal entries as well as reconciling account balances
- Assist with the journal entries and associated processes surrounding the firm’s stock-based compensation program
- Extensive interaction with other groups throughout the firm (Corporate FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal & Compliance etc.) surrounding the close process as well as ad-hoc requests/initiatives
- Extensive interaction with auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audit
- Completion and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA and Public accounting experience a plus
- Accounting experience in Financial Services/Asset Management a plus
- Experience with public company accounting/disclosure requirements a plus
